Trump Admin Rejects Fuel Export Bans Amid Record Global Oil Prices
The Trump administration has rejected fuel export bans and is committed to reaching an all-time high in oil production, according to U.S. Deputy Secretary of Energy James Danly.
Danly emphasized that the focus is on increasing domestic energy production rather than limiting international shipments, with the goal of 'energy dominance' for the United States.
The move comes as global crude prices have surpassed $107 per barrel, with Brent crude futures at $108.16 per barrel and WTI crude at $103.86 per barrel.
The U.S. has authorized over 17 billion cubic feet per day of additional liquefied natural gas (LNG) exports to support global allies in 2025, with Danly stating that America is 'open for business' and serves as the 'perfect counterparty' for global shipments.
