Trump Administration Blames Iran for Gas Price Spike

The White House is downplaying concerns about rising gas prices, attributing the surge to the Iranian regime's targeting of oil tankers in the Strait of Hormuz. According to Vice President JD Vance, gas prices could have been even higher if not for the Trump administration's efforts.

Vance claimed that without these efforts, 'we would have had an energy crisis because the Iranians refused to stop acting like terrorists in the Strait of Hormuz.' He praised the leadership of President Trump and the work of U.S. troops in degrading the Iranian regime's ability to attack shipping vessels.

The White House asserts that steps are being taken to bring prices down, including meetings between President Trump and nearly a dozen refiners to discuss expanding refining capacity. However, experts warn that diesel prices may not fall soon, with high prices impacting freight and farms, which rely on diesel.

Diesel 'sort of runs the U.S. economy,' said Dean Croke, principal analyst at DAT Freight & Analytics, adding that this is the bigger problem.
