He also mentioned that gas prices could potentially fall below $2 per gallon.
Trump directly linked the ongoing military operations in the Middle East to elevated energy costs, expressing confidence in market stabilization post-conflict. He emphasized US intentions to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons, which he believes is a key factor contributing to current energy price fluctuations.
In response to Trump's comments, Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf cautioned the US against any aggression towards Iran's energy infrastructure, warning of severe retaliation if such actions were taken. He stated that 'American oil and gas companies across these waters and facilities share that exposure. Strike our assets, and you get struck.'
