Trump Points Fingers at Iran for Saudi Oil Pipeline Attack

US President Donald Trump believes Iran was probably responsible for an aerial attack on Saudi Arabia's East-West pipeline, which transports crude oil. The incident shut down one of the kingdom's main routes for exporting oil while bypassing the Strait of Hormuz.

'I think they are, probably they are,' Trump told reporters in Dublin when asked about Iran's involvement in the attack. He had spoken with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, whom he described as a 'good friend.'

Trump also mentioned that Yemen's Iran-aligned Houthis called his administration and expressed their preference for not having the US directly involved in the conflict. They reportedly indicated they would allow most ships to pass through.
