Trump Predicts Gas Prices Will Fall After Midterms
President Trump made predictions about gas prices and the Iran war in an interview on Thursday. He believes that oil prices will likely fall after the November midterm elections, citing the ongoing conflict with Iran as a factor behind rising costs.
Trump stated that Americans may feel relief at the pump after the midterms, saying 'Right after the election, oil prices are going to be tumbling downward.' He also predicted that the war with Iran will end after the elections if Republicans are re-elected, claiming that Iran 'can't hold out any longer.'
The current price for a gallon of regular gas is $4.28, and diesel has reached record highs at $5.98 per gallon. Brent crude oil surpassed $100 a barrel for the first time since July, with experts warning that prices could exceed $110 unless the war changes drastically.
