Trump-Putin Call Sends Euronext Wheat Futures Lower
Euronext wheat futures declined on Tuesday after news emerged of a phone call between U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin, shifting market attention back to potential diplomatic solutions to end the Ukraine war.
The benchmark December wheat contract on Paris-based Euronext settled 1% lower at €247.25 ($287.30) per metric ton following the day session.
Despite Monday's gains and approaching last week's high of €259.25, the contract reversed course and moved lower.
