Trump Seeks Compensation from Iran Amid Ongoing Tensions
US President Donald Trump has hit back at Iran's demand for compensation over alleged US violations of an interim pact.
Tehran's foreign minister, Abbas Araghchi, had ruled out talks with Washington until it compensated for the alleged violations.
Trump responded on social media that he would seek compensation for those killed or seriously wounded by Iranian roadside bombs and other conflicts.
The Brent crude futures were steady at $87.81 a barrel on Tuesday morning after Trump's comments, while US West Texas Intermediate crude held at $82.20.
