President Donald Trump expressed discontent with the U.S. oil industry's record earnings, saying that companies like ExxonMobil and Chevron are making 'too much money' due to a shortage caused by the war with Iran.

The President's comments came after ExxonMobil reported earning $14.5 billion in the second quarter of 2026, double what it made during the same period last year.

Chevron also pulled in $12 billion, its highest quarterly earnings in at least six years, according to Reuters.

'Chevron, too much money. ExxonMobil, too much. Too much money,' Trump stated.
