The president added that revenue from Venezuela's vast oil reserves has already 'paid for the war many times,' referencing the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. This statement comes amid turmoil in the region, with oil prices expected to rise again on Monday following an attack on a Saudi oil pipeline.
Trump also reiterated his expectation that the Iran war would end this year, possibly just after the US midterm elections in November. He claimed that once the conflict is resolved, gasoline prices will 'drop like a rock.'
