Trump Threatens Iran with 'Very Hard' Response After Tanker Attack
US President Donald Trump has vowed to respond 'very tough' after a drone attack on an American-owned liquefied natural gas tanker in Egypt. The incident occurred at the Port of Damietta, raising concerns that the war in the Middle East could spread to vital maritime infrastructure.
The Energos Winter tanker was attacked by a drone on Wednesday, prompting President Trump's promise to take action. He stated that the US would attack Iran 'very hard' and that 'it's our turn to attack them.' The President also mentioned that Tehran had recently attacked American forces in Jordan, but were repelled.
The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed to have targeted a US airbase in Jordan with ballistic missiles in response to what it called 'US military aggressive actions.' However, the Jordanian armed forces intercepted and shot down five missiles launched from Iran heading for the kingdom on Wednesday morning.
