Trump's Iran Attack Delay Sends Oil Prices Reeling
US President Donald Trump's decision to postpone a planned attack on Iran has sent crude oil prices plummeting by more than 5%.
The price of Brent crude, the benchmark for oil from the Middle East and elsewhere, fell to $83.23 per barrel on Monday morning.
This marks a significant drop from earlier this year when Brent crude reached over $100 per barrel due to escalating violence in the region.
US crude prices also fell by more than 6%, dropping below $80 per barrel, as a result of Trump's comments.
