Trump's Iran Strategy 'Killing Chickens to Scare Monkeys' Says Senator
US Senator John Kennedy (R-LA) has revealed that President Trump supports daily strikes on Iran, likening it to an old Chinese idiom 'killing a few chickens to scare the monkeys.'
Kennedy made these comments during an interview with CBS News' Meet the Press, where he also expressed his concerns about the current strategy of conducting daily attacks on Iranian military sites.
The US had been bombing Iran every day for nearly two weeks before President Trump ordered a halt to allow negotiations to continue. However, Kennedy believes that this approach is not working and that diplomacy should not be the priority while Iran maintains its terror infrastructure.
Kennedy called on the US to tighten sanctions on Iranian oil sales, continue the blockade, and starve them out. He also suggested bombing Pickaxe Mountain to reach what's underneath it, indicating a more aggressive approach towards Iran.
