Trump's Iran Talks Boost US Stock Futures Amid Lower Oil Prices
US stock futures rose on Monday as President Donald Trump's announcement to call off a planned attack on Iran and initiate talks led to a decrease in oil prices.
The Dow Jones futures jumped by more than 330 points (0.6%), while S&P 500 futures gained around 0.5% and Nasdaq-100 futures also rose over 0.5%.
The decline in oil prices, which fell as much as 7.3% to around $81.55 a barrel for Brent crude, contributed to the positive market sentiment.
Investors are also looking ahead to this week's jobs report, with estimates suggesting that the US economy added 87,500 jobs in July, up from 57,000 jobs in June.
