Trump's Oil and Gas Holdings Soar as War Rages On

Financial disclosures have revealed President Donald Trump's investment accounts' trades in oil and gas companies during the Iran War. The president's accounts traded hundreds of thousands of dollars' worth of shares in Chevron, ConocoPhillips, ExxonMobil, and other oil and gas companies in the second quarter of 2026.

The White House has maintained that Trump is not directly involved with any of the trades, stating that his stock portfolio is 'independently managed by third-party financial institutions.' The portfolio is also reportedly invested through computer-based model portfolios that automatically replicate recognized indexes.

However, critics have raised ethics concerns over the frequent trading, which has led to millions in earnings for Trump's oil and gas holdings. Democrats on the Joint Economic Committee claim that Trump's holdings in oil and gas companies saw their value triple this year, reaching more than $60 million.
