TSX Rises as Oil Prices Fall and Geopolitical Tensions Ease

The TSX rose on Monday as oil prices fell and geopolitical tensions eased following a pause in U.S.-Iran attacks.

Oil prices dropped to US$82.61 per barrel for September crude, down from over US$100 a barrel last week.

Michael Currie, senior investment advisor at TD Wealth, said markets started the day with 'nothing but excitement and happiness' as oil prices fell, but declines in semiconductor stocks slowed momentum.
