Turkey Lifts Wheat Export Ban Amid Sufficient Domestic Supplies

The Turkish Grain Board (TMO) has lifted its ban on milling wheat exports, effective July 29. The decision comes after an assessment showed that domestic supplies are sufficient to meet production volumes, existing stocks, and consumption needs.

However, exports will still be subject to government oversight through a dedicated committee. Each export application will be reviewed by the committee, which will assess the domestic supply situation to ensure that trade remains balanced and controlled.
