Turkey, Pakistan, and Saudi Arabia Sign Mutual Defense Pact
A mutual defense agreement was signed between Turkey, Pakistan, and Saudi Arabia on Friday. The pact stipulates that an attack on any of the three countries will be considered an attack against all of them.
The deal was inked during a meeting in Saudi Arabia between Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and Pakistan's Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. The agreement aims to strengthen collective deterrence against any act of aggression, according to Pakistan's foreign ministry.
This development comes at a time when Saudi Arabia has been seeking to diversify its defense partnerships due to recent attacks on its critical infrastructure and oil facilities.
