Turkey Restores Ancient Olive Oil Workshop in Syedra
Culture and Tourism Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy has announced that an ancient olive oil workshop in Syedra, Turkey has been restored to its former glory.
The workshop, dating back to the 5th-6th centuries A.D., was part of a larger restoration project called 'Legacy for the Future'.
Ersoy said that every stage of production from crushing olives to collecting oil could be seen through the remains at the workshop.
The ancient city of Syedra has yielded numerous olive oil production facilities during excavations, showcasing a well-established production culture spanning thousands of years.
