The Turkish government has lifted its ban on milling wheat exports, which had been in place since March 2025. This decision comes after an assessment by the Turkish Grain Board deemed the food supply to be sufficiently secure. Wheat production is expected to increase by 27% this year, reaching a record 22.8 million tons, according to estimates.

The export restriction was lifted for milling wheat exports, which will now be carried out in a 'controlled and balanced manner' subject to the Board's assessments of applications.
