Turkey's Energy Import Bill Rises 13.1% to $5.83 Billion in July

Turkey's energy import bill rose by 13.1% year-on-year to $5.83 billion in July, according to data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute on Friday.

Energy imports were at $5.15 billion in July last year, showing a significant increase of nearly 14% over the previous year's figure.

The overall import bill for the month, including energy and other items, increased by 5.1% from a year earlier to $32.97 billion in July.

Crude oil imports saw a minor increase of 0.3%, reaching 2.93 million tons in July, compared to 2.92 million tons in the same month last year.
