Turkey's Natural Gas Trade Volume Plummets 75.4% Amid Steady Prices

The trade volume on Turkey's spot natural gas market dropped significantly on Thursday, August 6, according to data from the Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST). The total trade volume decreased by a substantial 75.4% to approximately 4.7 million Turkish liras.

On the same day, the price of 1,000 cubic meters of natural gas on the spot market reached 17,226 Turkish liras, while the cumulative natural gas trade volume amounted to around 270,000 cubic meters.

Turkey received approximately 94.78 million cubic meters of gas on Thursday, showing a relatively stable import level.
