Turkey's Spot Natural Gas Trade Volume Dives 30.7% on Sunday

The spot market natural gas prices in Turkey saw a significant decrease on Sunday, August 2. According to data from the Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST), the total trade volume on the spot market dropped by 30.7% to around 9.6 Turkish million liras compared to the previous day's trade of about 13.8 million liras. The cumulative natural gas trade volume for Sunday was approximately 556,000 cubic meters.

The price of 1,000 cubic meters of natural gas on the spot market was 17,189 Turkish liras, while Turkey received around 81.97 million cubic meters of gas on Sunday. This marks a notable decrease in trade activity compared to previous days.

As of Monday at 2 p.m. local time (1100 GMT), the exchange rate stood at US$1 equals 47.51 liras, indicating no significant changes in currency rates over the weekend.
