Turkish Mine Boost: Stifel Sees Upside Beyond First Copper Shipment
Analysts at Stifel are optimistic about the future of ACG Metals Ltd (LSE:ACG, OTC:ACGAF) due to its Turkish mine's potential beyond the initial copper concentrate shipment. The Gediktepe mine is expected to yield significant further upside once the Enriched Ore Project is completed by the end of this year.
The analysts, Alex Bedwany and Mavis Liu, rate the shares as buy with a target price of 2,450p. They consider the current copper concentrate shipment an important milestone, which will substantially de-risk the story if production ramps up smoothly.
With full production targeted by the end of 2026, Stifel believes the market timing is favorable. The copper market is tightening, with spot prices reaching around $6.48 per pound. This could lead to increased demand for the metal.
