Turkish Natural Gas Market Sees 35.9% Trade Volume Decline on Thursday

Türkiye's spot natural gas market experienced a significant decline on Thursday, July 30. According to the Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST), the total trade volume decreased by 35.9% compared to Wednesday, reaching approximately 7.5 million liras.

The price of 1,000 cubic meters of natural gas on Thursday's spot market was around 17,238 liras. The cumulative natural gas trade volume for the day totaled about 436,000 cubic meters.

Türkiye received approximately 80.65 million cubic meters of natural gas on Thursday. The exchange rate at 2:52 p.m. local time (11:52 GMT) on Friday was 47.52 liras per US dollar.
