Turkish Natural Gas Market Sees Significant Trade Volume Surge

Türkiye's spot natural gas market saw a significant increase in trade volume on Thursday, August 20.

The trade volume rose by 53.6% to around 5.10 million Turkish liras compared to the previous day's total of about 3.32 million liras, according to data from Türkiye's Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST).

The spot market price for natural gas on Thursday was 17,182 liras per 1,000 cubic meters.

The cumulative trade volume for natural gas reached approximately 297,000 cubic meters on the same day.
