Turkish Natural Gas Trade Volume Drops by 15.7% to 13.8 Million Liras

Türkiye's spot natural gas market saw a decrease in trade volume on Saturday, August 1. According to data from the Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST), the total trade volume dropped by 15.7% to approximately 13.8 million Turkish liras compared to Friday's amount of about 16.4 million liras.

The spot market prices for natural gas also showed a decrease, with 1,000 cubic meters costing 17,496.75 liras on Saturday. The cumulative trade volume for natural gas reached around 788,000 cubic meters on the same day.

Türkiye received about 80.08 million cubic meters of gas on Saturday, and the exchange rate at the time was US$1 equals 47.52 liras.
