Turkish Spot Natural Gas Market Sees 15.4% Trade Volume Decline
Türkiye's spot natural gas market saw a decline in trade volume on Monday, with a decrease of 15.4% compared to Sunday. According to data from Türkiye's Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST), the total trade on Monday was around 2.2 million Turkish liras.
This represents a drop from the approximately 2.6 million liras traded on Sunday. The price of natural gas remained steady, with 1,000 cubic meters costing 17,276 liras on the spot market. Meanwhile, the cumulative natural gas trade volume amounted to 127,000 cubic meters.
Türkiye received a significant amount of gas on Monday, with approximately 92.08 million cubic meters imported from abroad. The current exchange rate is US$1 = 48.64 liras at 2 p.m. local time (1100 GMT).
