Türkiye Sees 21.7% Drop in Natural Gas Imports Amid Global Energy Shifts
Türkiye's natural gas imports saw a significant drop in July, down by 21.7% compared to the same month last year.
The country imported around 3.06 billion cubic meters of natural gas in July, with pipeline gas accounting for 2.87 billion cubic meters and liquefied natural gas (LNG) imports totaling 194.05 million cubic meters.
Azerbaijan was Türkiye's largest supplier of pipeline gas, followed by Russia and Iran.
Türkiye's natural gas consumption also decreased by 25.2% year-over-year to around 2.65 billion cubic meters in July.
