Türkiye's Gas Imports Plummet 21.7% in July Amid Shift to Pipelines
Türkiye's natural gas imports declined sharply in July, decreasing by 21.7% year-on-year to approximately 3.06 billion cubic meters, according to data from the country's Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA).
The majority of this imported gas came through pipelines, with pipeline gas accounting for 2.87 billion cubic meters and liquefied natural gas (LNG) imports totaling 194.05 million cubic meters.
Azerbaijan emerged as the top supplier of pipeline gas to Türkiye in July, providing over 1 billion cubic meters, followed closely by Russia with 948.49 million cubic meters and Iran with 919.33 million cubic meters.
