U.S. Destroys Five Iranian Oil Tankers Amid Escalating Conflict
The U.S. military destroyed five Iranian oil tankers on Tuesday in response to recent attacks on its warships, according to a statement from the U.S. Central Command.
Tehran said it launched missiles toward U.S. targets in Jordan in retaliation for the American strikes.
Jordan's military intercepted 18 ballistic missiles, and two others fell in uninhabited areas, with no reported casualties.
The latest escalation comes as part of a dual economic and military approach by President Donald Trump to bring an end to the war.
