U.S. Gas Prices Surge to New High Amid Ongoing Conflict with Iran
The average price of regular gas in the U.S. has reached $4.27 per gallon, up from $3.19 on Sept. 10, 2025, according to AAA.
Oil prices have also surged since the destruction of five Iranian crude oil tankers by U.S. military forces, with Brent crude futures reaching about $105 per barrel and West Texas Intermediate futures rising nearly 4% to around $99 per barrel on Sept. 10.
President Trump has promised relief from high gas prices would come after the election, but experts say his options are limited due to the ongoing military conflict.
