U.S. Military Escorts Over 660 Million Barrels Through Blockaded Strait
Despite Iran's blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, over 660 million barrels of crude oil have successfully transited through the strait since early May with U.S. military assistance.
The U.S. Central Command has confirmed that more than 1,300 commercial vessels have also navigated the strait during this period.
In a statement, Navy Captain Tim Hawkins emphasized that 'multiple sea lanes remain free and open for commercial transit.'
According to data released by the U.S. Central Command on July 29, at least 500 million barrels of crude had already passed through the strait with U.S. military assistance.
