UAE Calls for Regional Cooperation Amid Escalating Tensions in Middle East

UAE Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan held urgent talks with his counterparts in Saudi Arabia and Iraq to prevent a wider regional conflict.

The discussions came amid escalating tensions following drone attacks on Saudi Arabia's East-West oil pipeline, which Riyadh claimed were launched from Iraqi territory.

In phone calls with Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud and Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein, the UAE minister emphasized the need for regional cooperation to safeguard security and interests.

The talks covered regional developments, efforts to contain escalation, and the importance of coordinating positions to prevent further conflict.
