UAE Crude Output Surges to Near-Record Levels Following OPEC Exit
The UAE has reached near-record crude output levels of over 3.8 million barrels per day in June, following its exit from OPEC to escape production caps.
This achievement marks a significant milestone for Abu Dhabi, which had argued that years of investment in production capacity justified greater freedom to produce oil without restrictions.
The UAE's energy minister, Suhail al-Mazrouei, stated at the time of the OPEC exit that the country owed it to investors to supply what global markets required 'without restrictions.'
