UAE Gold Demand Surges 53.5% to 29.85 Tonnes in H1 2026

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) gold market experienced significant growth in the first half of 2026, with total purchases reaching approximately 29.85 tonnes.

This represents a 53.5% increase from the same period last year, according to data from the World Gold Council.

Gold jewellery accounted for the largest share of demand, with purchases rising by nearly 64% to around 25.67 tonnes in H1 2026 compared to H1 2025.

The second quarter saw particularly strong growth, with total demand increasing by 75.3% year on year.
