UAE Gold Prices Edge Up Amid Global Uncertainty

Gold prices in the UAE edged up slightly on August 4th, following international bullion prices despite ongoing investor interest in safe-haven assets. The 24K gold rate in Dubai reached AED 485.50 per gram, while the 22K and 18K rates stood at AED 449.50 and AED 369.50 respectively.

The trend is supported globally by geopolitical uncertainty in West Asia, US Federal Reserve interest rate outlook expectations, and a softer US dollar. The MCX Gold October futures gained 0.48% to ₹1,43,597 per 10 grams, reflecting positive investor sentiment in the Indian market. COMEX gold was at about $4,060 an ounce and silver was at about $57.9 an ounce globally.

The UAE's transparent pricing, extensive jewellery retail network, and competitive making charges make it a favourable destination for gold buyers. Residents and tourists alike across the GCC monitor daily price movements closely before making a purchase, particularly in the case of investment-grade 24K bullion and popular 22K jewellery.
