UAE-based Adnoc Drilling is exploring opportunities to participate in Egypt's oil and gas drilling program, as part of efforts to boost domestic production. The company's CEO, Abdullah Ateya Al Messabi, met with Egyptian Petroleum and Mineral Resources Minister Karim Badawi to discuss potential partnerships.

Badawi highlighted the importance of increasing drilling activity to meet the country's five-year plan to boost crude oil and natural gas production. He also expressed Egypt's interest in leveraging Adnoc Drilling's technical capabilities to support its drilling plans.

The two sides will hold specialized technical meetings in the coming period to explore cooperation opportunities and identify areas for participation in the targeted drilling program.
