UK natural gas prices have dropped further, falling over 4% to below 157 pence per therm on Wednesday. This decline continues from the previous session, as concerns over supply disruptions have eased due to progress in Middle East negotiations.

Iran's and Oman's foreign ministers announced discussions for a temporary transit corridor through the Strait of Hormuz and plans to clear mines from the waterway. Pakistan also reported significant progress in talks with Tehran aimed at ending the war.

The US decision to return diplomats to the Middle East has further alleviated fears of further escalation in the conflict, but supply risks remain due to the ongoing maritime blockade disrupting physical LNG flows from the Persian Gulf.
