UK Wheat Futures Break £200 Threshold Amid Global Grain Export Concerns
UK November 2026 wheat futures have broken above the £200/t threshold after a week of trading, settling at £203/t. This price increase marks a 1/8% gain from the previous week.
The Agricultural and Horticultural Development Board (AHDB) notes that the November 26 contract's highest price to date was £207.00/t, reached on July 22, which could serve as a key level for prices moving forward.
According to AHDB, there is 'resistance' around this mark, and market news this week may influence whether prices reach or surpass it.
The global grain market is being supported by concerns over exports from Russia and Ukraine, with Russian grain exports estimated to have fallen 20% year-on-year in July, and steeper reductions expected for August.
