Ukraine Denies New Navigation Rules for Black Sea Shipping Corridor

Ukraine's Agriculture Minister Taras Vysotskyi has denied market speculation that new navigation rules would be introduced for vessels using the Black Sea shipping corridor. The minister stated that there are no official agreements on introducing a flag-state notification mechanism or 'windows of silence' for vessel arrivals.

Vysotskyi emphasized that the government's efforts are focused on strengthening the security of the existing Black Sea shipping corridor, which has not been suspended or restricted. He noted that any additional security measures would be announced officially by the relevant authorities.

The minister also addressed concerns about financial support for farmers affected by limited grain sales and lower purchase prices. Vysotskyi stated that the government is working on financial support measures, including lending programmes and working capital financing, but not direct compensation for lower grain prices or higher logistics costs.
