Ukraine Eases Repatriation Deadline Requirements for Agricultural Exporters
The Ukrainian government has relaxed its requirements for repatriation deadlines for agricultural exporters. This decision follows a previous easing of restrictions, which applied automatically to all exporters based on a specific list of codes.
However, this new decision is targeted and requires exporters to apply individually to the Ministry of Economy for an extension of up to 180 days. The maximum settlement deadline for export-import operations in Ukraine is typically 365 calendar days, but has been reduced during martial law to 120 days for agricultural goods.
The list of covered goods has also been narrowed from twelve items to six, including wheat, corn, soybeans, sunflower seeds, sunflower oil, and meal. This decision aims to give producers and exporters more time to fulfill contracts, maintain exports, and ensure resources for future sowing, which have been complicated by attacks on civilian ships and port infrastructure.
