Ukraine Escalates Conflict with Novorossiysk Strikes

Ukraine agreed to refrain from targeting the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) infrastructure and non-Russian vessels following a request from U.S. Vice President JD Vance. This arrangement stipulates that attacks would not occur as long as the vessels were not under Ukrainian sanctions or transporting Russian goods.
The attack has raised concerns about potential disruptions to wheat supplies, with Chicago wheat futures rising approximately 3% in response. Russia's agriculture ministry announced plans to redirect grain export flows via alternative routes due to fears of ongoing Ukrainian attacks threatening to halt Black Sea grain exports.
