Ukraine Extends Settlement Periods for Agricultural Exporters Amid Russian Black Sea Attacks

Ukraine has extended the settlement periods for agricultural exporters due to ongoing attacks by the Russian Federation in the Black Sea region. Prime Minister Serhii Koretskyi announced the decision, which affects export contracts for wheat, corn, soybeans, sunflower seeds, sunflower oil, and oilcake.

The maximum settlement period extension of up to 180 days will be implemented at the request of exporters by the Ministry of Economy. This change aims to mitigate the impact of complicated logistics on farmers and help preserve exports and foreign-currency revenues for the state.
