Ukraine Faces Grain Storage Shortage by October Amid Export Halving

The European Union is sounding the alarm about Ukraine's grain storage capacity, warning that it could face a shortage of over 9 million tons by October.

The EU Delegation to Ukraine has reported that grain exports have halved compared to last year due to attacks on ports and shipping routes. The Black Sea handles around 90% of Ukraine's agricultural exports, but with its current state, it cannot ensure stable exports.

To mitigate this issue, the EU is focusing on providing additional storage capacity, financial support for farmers, and more efficient cross-border transport.
