Ukraine Falls Short on Agri-Food Exports in August

Ukraine's Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Taras Vysotskyi announced that the country exported only one-third of its potential agri-food exports in August. From August 1 to 26, Ukraine shipped out 1.423 million tons of grains, oilseeds, and processed products.

This volume represents around 21% of the potential export requirement for the period. The majority of these exports consisted of grain crops, with a total of 822 thousand tons leaving Ukrainian ports during this time frame.

Vysotskyi stated that the rest of the exported goods primarily comprised oilseeds, oil, and meal, which met the demand. Rail transport accounted for around 600 thousand tons of these exports, while the Danube route also carried a similar amount.
