Ukraine Grain Exports at Risk as Russia Intensifies Attacks on Ports

Ukraine's agriculture minister, Taras Vysotskyi, warned that Russia's attacks on Black Sea ports have put around half of this year's grain and oilseed exports at risk.

The disruptions have caused a significant decline in prices for oilseeds and grains, with an average 30% drop, according to Vysotskyi.

Ukraine has been exploring alternative routes to export its grain, including via the Danube River, rail, and road freight. However, these routes are expected to handle only 50-55% of the capacity of the Black Sea ports.
