Ukraine Grain Exports Show Mixed Results with Wheat and Corn at Odds

Ukraine's grain exports are showing mixed results this season. According to data from the State Customs Service, as of August 12, Ukraine had shipped almost 3 million tonnes of cereals and leguminous crops for export in the 2026/27 marketing year. This represents a 4.76% increase compared to the same period last year.

However, wheat exports have decreased by 18.33% this season compared to the previous one. In contrast, corn exports have seen a significant surge of 66.38% higher than last year's figures.

In August alone, Ukraine has already exported over 280,000 tonnes of grain. The breakdown of exports shows that wheat accounted for 1.239 million tonnes, barley for 333,000 tonnes, and corn for 1.376 million tonnes. Rye exports have not been reported yet this marketing year.

Flour exports stood at 2,800 tonnes. These numbers come as Ukraine's agricultural exports face potential decline due to attacks on ports, with a predicted drop of 54%.
