Ukraine Grain Exports Soar 55% in First Month of New Season

The Ukrainian grain export season has kicked off with a strong start, according to data from the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food. For the first month of the 2026/27 marketing year, Ukraine exported 2.6 million tons of grains and leguminous crops, which is 55% more than the same period last season.

The majority of these exports were wheat, with 1.07 million tons shipped to foreign markets - a 42% increase from the previous season. Barley supplies also rose by 10%, reaching 294 thousand tons. However, rye exports have not yet taken place.

Meanwhile, corn shipments more than doubled, amounting to 1.2 million tons. This is in stark contrast to flour exports, which are lagging behind at just 1.7 thousand tons - a 50% decrease compared to the previous season.
