Ukrainian Prime Minister Sergii Koretskyi has announced that Ukraine will have guaranteed capacity at the new LNG terminal in Klaipeda, Lithuania. This development is expected to contribute significantly to Ukraine's energy resilience and security. The terminal is currently under construction.

Koretskyi expressed gratitude towards Lithuanian Prime Minister Mindaugas Sinkevicius for securing this arrangement. According to Koretskyi, Ukraine has already made commitments and undertaken obligations in exchange for the guaranteed capacity at the LNG terminal.

The parties also discussed defense cooperation, with a focus on strengthening air defense and anti-ballistic capabilities. Lithuania has committed to allocating at least 0.25% of its GDP annually to military assistance to Ukraine. Koretskyi praised this commitment as 'one of the largest' and expressed gratitude towards the Lithuanian government and people.
