Ukraine Seeks Alternative Grain Exports Amid Ongoing Shipping Challenges

Ukraine's Agriculture Minister Taras Vysotsky claims that the country can export up to 3.5 million tons of grain per month without using deep-sea Black Sea ports.

This figure is based on Ukraine's historical record, with 2022 being a significant year for grain exports under difficult conditions.

The minister attributes this capability to the expansion of logistics infrastructure over the past few years, including the development of Danube ports, dry ports, and road and rail corridors to the EU.

However, alternative routes have limitations, with lower capacity and higher transportation costs increasing expenses for exporters and farmers.
